Navigating the Classroom: Insights into Effective Teaching Practice

Despite it being my first time teaching, it didn't deter me from delivering my lessons effectively. I encountered challenges during my demo, primarily the language barrier, which hindered me from elaborating on the concepts. To overcome this hurdle, I sought tips from my supervisor and incorporated some of their teaching practices. I started my demo with a recall, providing students with an idea of our upcoming topic. Proceeding to the content of my lessons, I managed my time effectively by using words that are easily understood by my students, reducing confusion and minimizing frequent questions. I also learned the importance of developing authority during class discussions to better manage the classroom. Overall, it was a fun and memorable experience that I will cherish, using it as a foundation to enhance my teaching skills in the future.
